Welcome to Government Degree College, Dhami at 16-Mile, Shimla, a beacon of learning and innovation dedicated to fostering intellectual curiosity and ethical leadership, situated on a hilltop surrounded by verdurous pines, oaks, and several other trees. I am truly honoured to address you through our website, which serves as a gateway to our shared journey in pursuit of knowledge, growth, and community empowerment.

Our college is more than just an academic institution; it is a nurturing ground for ideas, creativity, and collaboration. This institution was established on February 15, 2016, when there was a great need and strong public demand for such a higher education institute in this region. In the initial phase this college was run temporarily in a rented accommodation. In April 2019, the college was shifted to a grand new building. Since then the college has created its own unique identity, and has provided a multi-facility-rich campus to the students.

Our college offers graduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science, all taught by highly educated professors. The college offers a variety of facilities for student development, including interactive classrooms, an auditorium, a library, an e-resource centre, reading rooms, music rooms, a first aid room, a girls’ common room, and a mini computer lab. The college also provides a variety of opportunities for student development, including the National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps, Rovers and Rangers, Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club, Road Safety Club, Eco- Club, English Literary Society, Sahitya Parishad, Electoral Literacy Club, and various subject organizations. Students prepare for the next stage of their lives through the curriculum, as well as co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
