Govt. College Dhami at 16 Mile is much more than an educational institution of national understanding. As students of this College they become part of a vibrant ecosystem with only three year old rich culture and tradition.

The College is named after a place 'Dhami' which is of historic importance. . 'Dhami Goli Kand' sparked the National Freedom Movement of India, when the then Rana opened fire at the innocent people fighting for their rights.

This College was founded in January, 2016 by Raja Virbhadra Singh the then Chief Minister of the State of Himachal Pradesh. He made an announcement to start a college in the area to cater the needs of students in rural Shimla.

The motto of the College is ^fo|k nnkfr fou;e~* We at the College believe in providing for our students an environment rich in knowledge and supportive of the extracurricular interests.
